I just want to take his chance to introduce myself and let you know a little about me before I continue to try and help you along with the adventure that is going to Korea.
I am now back in Ireland after a really amazing two years in Korea. I plan on going back so I have tried not to miss it too much, as hard as that has been!
Teaching is something I love and the prospect of pursuing it in a new and interesting location was very appealing to me, so I looked into it, as you are doing now, found out what I needed to know and with the help of ASK Now I ended up in Korea in November 2006. It was a whirlwind which at sometimes seemed to be too much, but once I got there and settled into my new life I knew that it was all worth it.
Basically Korea will be what you make of it. This is an opportunity for all of you out there who have graduated university and want to do something exciting with your lives. It is open to people from all areas of interest, whether you be a passionate teacher or someone who is interested in starting out, whether you are an explorer or someone who needs to save some money to pay off some credit card debts! We can help all of you get what you are after and help make the whole experience that much smoother.
In short, I have no regrets about going there and I am here to help you with whatever you need to know before heading off. I immersed myself in the Korean life and feel capable of answering most any question! For those of you who might be afraid of jumping into such a unique cultural experience unprepared, don't worry - there are plenty of non-natives like us who you can hang on to till you find your feet!
