Back in 2004, Jason Cresswell, James Moorhouse, and Matthew Boulton decided to start a company to help university graduates get good teaching jobs in South Korea. Thus was born ASK Now Inc. At that time, they had 10 years of combined experience living and teaching English in Korea.
Soon after, Jason's sister, Stacey Cresswell-Kydd joined the team along with Jason and Stacey's mom, Viv Cresswell. As with any business, the start is always a challenge, but the team was up for it.
About a year after starting, Jason was contacted by Brant Kim Jr. who was the co-owner of ETO, English Teaching Opportunities. They offered to partner with ASK Now and to be the company to handle the Korean side of the placement process while ASK Now handled the teacher side. The relationship fit like a glove and things started to take off.
Meanwhile, James and Matthew got involved in other aspects of living in Korea and James went on to start a family and focus on teaching and other ventures, while Matthew moved on to become a teacher at a university in Korea.
For the next few years, ASK Now and ETO both grew as two independent companies and by working closely together, both became more and more successful.
During all of this time Stacey worked tirelessly as though she was one of the co-owners of the company. This effort was finally rewarded in early 2009. After years of working together, ASK Now and ETO decided to finally "tie the knot" and merge into one new company with Jason, Stacey, Brant Kim Jr. and Brant Kim Sr. creating a new, combined company called ASK Now-ETO.
We continue to grow and are adding new employees, and bringing new independent representatives on board constantly. Please see below for a bit more on who is part of the ASK Now-ETO team.
